Piloting of reagents of the transversal evaluation of creative thinking
Main Article Content
Abstract
The Cross-Cutting Assessment of Creative Thinking (Creativa Mente) is currently being developed by the National Center for the Evaluation of Higher Education (Ceneval). The supporting framework of the instrument analyzes different approaches to creativity, considering academic literature, with the aim of substantiating the subareas into which the cognitive skills associated with creative thinking are broken down. Creativa Mente is an evaluation designed to measure skills that touch transversally, but at the same time transcend, fields such as written and visual expression, as well as the resolution of social, scientific and technological problems. The instrument will evaluate factors associated with creativity such as fluency, flexibility, originality and improvement of ideas. As part of the quantitative research for the construction of the instrument, a pilot was carried out with 84 students at a university in the State of Mexico in September 2024. The objective was to assign a code to each response of the respondents by categorizing their responses. During the exercise, information was collected on the factors associated with creativity present in the students’ responses to the items.
