Characteristics of workers who rotate in the maquiladoras of Ensenada, Baja California

Abstract
The maquiladora industry has been a relevant factor for the economic development of Mexico, specially the Northern border, where the largest number of maquiladoras, jobs and exports have been created. The above has contributed to the growth of the country economy and has become an engine to it.
The operational staff of a company is undoubtedly a fundamental piece of it. Therefore, it is important to know the characteristics of workers, because it is through the stability and permanence of the qualified human resource that the objectives of every company are achieved.
In this research, we describe the characteristics of the workers who are operating in the maquila industry export at the city of Ensenada, Baja California, in order to obtain an updated bench of indicators, which allows the design of contextualized strategies that help to improve the productivity of the maquila industry export, as well as to improve working conditions, to assess the usefulness and qualified personnel of these subjects. To determine the results, an instrument was applied to a representative simple of the maquiladora industry, which allowed the measurement of the variables according to the profiles: 1) sociodemographic profile, 2) academic profile, 3) job profile.
